You can stack up to roughly 41.94 kWh to 54 kWh of battery capacity on a residential Fox ESS system.
Your battery tops up overnight at around 7p per kWh, ready to use in the day instead of full-price electricity. The 7p rate is for illustration only: your actual off-peak rate is set by your energy supplier.

Assumes 435W panels producing 850 kWh a year per kW, electricity at 25p and export at 15p per kWh, and 35% of generation used as it's made. With a smart tariff, the battery is also charged overnight at 7p per kWh. That rate is for illustration only: your actual off-peak rate and hours are set by your energy supplier.
Each panel is made of a semi-conductive material such as silicon. The light shines on the panels, creating an electrical current that flows to a collection point (often on your roof). From there, the energy is converted from DC (direct current) to AC (alternative current) which can be used throughout your home.
Although solar panels of course need an initial investment, they pay for themselves in several ways. Firstly, solar panels are often seen as a selling point for a home. Increasing its value and therefore your return on investment in the long term. In addition, they contribute or completely cover your electricity bills - cumulatively paying for themselves over a number of years.
Our team of installers will test your panels to ensure they’re working correctly. In addition, you’ll have a control panel that records their performance and the power they’re supplying to your home.
Solar batteries are not included by default with our systems. However, we are happy to provide a quotation for solar batteries which can be installed at the same time.
